Voraussetzungen

RouteCard Support (English)

RouteCard turns your workouts from Apple Health into clean overlays with a transparent background, ready for your stories and posts. If something does not work as expected, the answers below cover the most common questions.

Contact

Email: hi@spamschutz.invalid@arnebornheim.invalid.com

It helps if you include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the app version and a short description or a screenshot of the problem. I usually reply within a few days.

Requirements

  • iPhone with iOS 26 or later
  • Workouts stored in Apple Health, for example recorded with Apple Watch or another app that saves to Health

I do not see any workouts

The app needs permission to read your workouts. Open the iOS Settings app, go to Apps, Health, Data Access & Devices, RouteCard and turn on the categories, at least Workouts and Workout Routes. Then pull down on the workout list to refresh. If you have no workouts yet, the built-in demo workout lets you try every feature.

My workout has no route

Routes exist only for outdoor workouts recorded with GPS. Indoor workouts have none. If an outdoor workout is missing its route, check that Workout Routes is enabled for RouteCard in the Health permissions and that route tracking was on in the app that recorded it. Without a route you can still use all stats and the heart rate charts.

The map does not load

Map, satellite and hybrid backgrounds come from Apple Maps and need an internet connection. If the map cannot be loaded, the app exports the route as a plain line instead, so you never lose an export. The Line and Off displays work offline.

How do I keep the transparent background on Instagram?

Save the overlay to Photos first. In the story editor, add your photo or video as the background, then open the stickers and choose the photo sticker to insert the overlay from your library. It is placed on top with its transparency intact and you can move and scale it. Posting the PNG directly as the story fills the transparent areas with a solid color.

Which format should I use?

9:16 is made for stories, reels and shorts. 4:5 and 1:1 fit feed posts. 16:9 works for videos and thumbnails. Auto crops the image tightly around the overlay, which is ideal if you want to position it yourself in an editor. On fixed formats you can place the overlay at the top, center or bottom.

Kilometers or miles?

By default the app follows the unit setting of your workouts in Apple Health, separately for walking and running, cycling and swimming. Under Style, Units you can force metric or imperial.

How are the heart rate zones calculated?

Like on Apple Watch, the five zones are based on your heart rate reserve, the difference between your maximum and your resting heart rate. Zone 2 starts at 60 percent, zone 3 at 70, zone 4 at 80 and zone 5 at 90 percent. In automatic mode the maximum is estimated as 220 minus your age and the resting heart rate comes from Apple Health. You can enter both values manually under Charts, Heart Rate Zones. The zones are a training aid, not medical advice.

Does the app remember my settings?

Yes. Every change is saved immediately and applied to the next workout you open, including the last section you used and the fullscreen mode. Under Presets you can store complete looks under a name and apply them with one tap.

Does RouteCard upload my data?

No. All processing happens on your iPhone. There is no account, no server and no tracking. Details are in the privacy policy.

How do I revoke access or delete my data?

Health access can be changed at any time in the iOS Settings app under Apps, Health, Data Access & Devices, RouteCard. Deleting the app removes all settings and presets. Exported images in your photo library stay until you delete them there.
